Bismuth, number 83 on the periodic table, In its naturally occurring form, it is an iridescent silvery white crystalline, brittle metal and is very rare. It is more usually seen as a rainbow colored crystal which is obtained by heating the Metal down to a liquid and allowing it to cool again. Bismuth naturally forms the crystal shapes during the cooling process. Surface oxidation (rust) is what gives it various colors.
